Their Admonition and Warning To America and All Who Have Indulged

In The Chattel  Slave Industry

       

These very unique Americans solemnly warned the New Nation about the potentially fatal dangers of not complying with the will of GOD concerning the matter of chattel slavery and its’ generational aftermath.

They each espoused a spiritual belief that our GOD balances the existence of the United States upon the fulcrum of how, when, if ever Americans resolve their unfinished business with HIM concerning this “nation of immigrants” treatment of HIS Personal property being, the enslaved, exiled West & Central African peoples.

Please Read and Take Heed.

Benjamin Franklin - at the close of the Constitutional convention in Philadelphia on September 18,1787, he said that the type of government the Constitution was bringing into existence was/is “A republic, if you can keep it".

Emphasis on "...if you can keep it" perhaps reveals that the most ardent abolitionist activist of amongst his peers, knew that according to the Declaration of Indpendence, GOD, the Central Figure would not allow the "goodness" of this Republic to continue and prosper as long as the new nation embraced its inherited from the British Empire, the peculiar industry of chattel slavery. 

 It was his warning to We the People of the United States to end chattel slavery and rectify its' generational aftermath that Abraham Lincoln understanding Franklin would later say that only after completing "that great task remaining before us - that cause, that this nation under GOD shall have have a new birth of freedom -- that government of, by and for the people (republic) will not perish from the earth."

"Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God?
That they are not to be violated but with his wrath?

Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever: that considering numbers, nature and natural means only, a revolution of the wheel of fortune, an exchange of situation, is among possible events: that it may become probable by supernatural interference!

The Almighty has no attribute which can take side with us in such a context.... I think a change already perceptible, since the origin of the present revolution.

The spirit of the master is abating, that of the slave rising from the dust, his condition mollifying, the way I hope preparing, under the auspices of heaven, for a total emancipation, and that this is disposed, in the order of events, to be with the consent of the masters, rather than by their extirpation."

The Almighty has His own purposes. "Woe unto the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense cometh!"

 

If we shall suppose that American Slavery is one of those offenses...in the providence of God...He now wills to remove, and that He gives to both North and South, this terrible war, as the woe due to those by whom the offense came...Fondly do we hope -- fervently do we pray -- that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away.

Yet, if God wills that it continue, until all the wealth piled by the bond-man's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said "the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether."

Both North and South have been guilty before God; and the Christian church has a heavy account to answer.

Not by combining together, to protect injustice and cruelty, and making a common capital of sin, is this Union to be saved,--but by repentance, justice and mercy; for, not surer is the eternal law by which the millstone sinks in the ocean, than that stronger law, by which injustice and cruelty shall bring on nations the wrath of Almighty God..........."

“Those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual.”

Queen Elizabeth I - initially upon learning of the venture of the "Good Ship Jesus" slave ship, the Queen of England lividly assailed its captain charging that his endeavor "was detestable and would call down vengeance from heaven upon the undertakers. ".

However, of the profits to be made she joined in partnership with the greedy captain and provided him with the "Jesus of Lubeck," a.k.a., "The Good Ship Jesus."

Note: Eventually, the "The Good Ship Jesus" was sunk by the Spanish Navy in the Gulf of Mexico.
